This video series is tailored for early years students from Reception to Year 2 and feature interactive song, dance, and storytelling set against the stunning backdrop of Nilpena Ediacaran National Park. Lucy and Spriggina team up with real Palaeontologists to explore the wonders of the Ediacara Period, uncovering secrets of ancient life forms preserved in the parks fossils. Through a captivating mix of live-action footage and 2D animation, they highlight the significance of these fossils as valuable clues for future discoveries within our solar system. Fossil Rock offers an immersive learning experience that ignites curiosity and fosters a passion for science, exploration and discovery.

Why Fossil Rock?

Together with educating young minds, we're also passionate about raising awareness and promoting the conservation of our planet's precious natural treasures. South Australia's Nilpena Ediacara National Park is home to some of the world's most significant Ediacaran fossils, yet many people remain unaware of their existence. By introducing children to these ancient wonders at an early age, we not only stimulate their imagination and curiosity but also instil in them a sense of appreciation and responsibility for our planet's rich geological heritage. Through Fossil Rock, we aim to inspire the next generation of young explorers and conservationists, fostering a deep connection to the natural world and a commitment to preserving it for future generations.
