We are excited to announce that Adelaide company LER Production will be collaborating with Channel 44 to produce the children’s television series SeaStar Rock. This will be the first local children’s series to be produced in the ABC studios since its closing in 2014!
SeaStar Rock is a locally produced music and dance show for kids. It promotes marine sustainability using charismatic characters, catchy songs, and colourful costumes to explore the SeaStar Rock world. Since a successful live performance launch at the Adelaide Fringe in 2015, SeaStar Rock has been performing to thousands of children around South Australia. The live show was met with rave reviews, including a spot in the ‘Top 5 things to do with kids, Advertiser, 2015’.
The SeaStar Rock television series will consist of 6 different shows, each 10 minutes long containing multiple characters, songs, dance, animation and set design. It will be aired weekly at prime time for family entertainment.
We are extremely excited to be working with talented Channel 44 Producer Lauren Hillman who has considerable experience at Channel 9, ABC and Nova Radio and has a multitude of awards to her name. Channel 44, in the ABC building, is providing resourcing including studio space and local production talent to bring this series to fruition.
To help produce this series we require local businesses and organisations to sponsor the SeaStar Rock television series. In return they will be rewarded with the benefit of generous advertising packages. With an average of 50,000 unique viewers a day on Channel 44 and with the series being aired multiple times weekly this opportunity is sure to appeal to a variety of advertisers.
